Pupils of "LABOR Project: a step towards employability" Totana developed by the Collective for Social Promotion "The Candle" in collaboration with the City of Totana, made during the month of July a literacy course through New Technologies in which involved twelve Totana unemployed.

This course are part of the training activities developed by this project is working in Totana since November 2007, in collaboration with the City of Totana and financed by 20% by the Instituto Murciano Social Action and 80% by the European Social Fund.

Through this training aims to inform, educate and guide unemployed people on issues related to the workplace.

It is an initiative of social and employment measures, whereby it seeks to facilitate the employment of people who are interested in actively participating in the change of becoming unemployed.

The Literacy workshop through new technologies has had a duration of 40 hours and in the twelve participating alumni / ae.

This training has been developed in the Social Center of San Roque neighborhood, being made possible through the collaboration offered by the Hon.

Totana City Council through the Department of Social Care and Citizenship.

The objective of this course was to improve the basic skills of literacy, numeracy and use of new technologies, vital aspects to finding a job.

This has been worked knowledge areas such as spelling, reading compressive, calligraphy, arithmetic, typing, computer use, Internet access and email, etc..
