MSG claims that the differences between the mayor and Urbaser have sparked a battle that will end up hurting the performance of duties and aggravate the ailing state of the municipal coffers.
According to the Socialists, which had been an arranged marriage until recently, has become untenable in a relationship because of disagreements on the interpretation of contracts signed between Urbaser and former mayor José Martínez Andreo.
PSOE says that the problem goes back to the end of the last legislature, when the mayor decides to fund the serious economic problems of the municipality through a loan company in exchange Urbaser increase in year contract and, which has ended up being the cause of the conflict, establishing thresholds that guarantee a minimum turnover Urbaser year regardless of actual water consumption.

And Urbaser claims to have in his possession documents showing that there is a contract between the parties and the council requires compliance.
Socialists say that the lawsuit filed against the mayor by Urbaser is a consequence of this unilateral decision to terminate the contract, which the company is lying to citizens by denying the existence of agreements and contracts signed.
The Socialist Party calls surprising that the mayor has set as an excuse for terminating the contract, "the network performance under water" when it is your responsibility too, because since that governs the PP have made insufficient investment to improve their state.
Remember that between the years 1999-2003, a period in which they ruled, the network performance up to 75% thanks to investments made in its improvement.
For socialists, the agreements signed with Urbaser are very harmful to the council, as reported in due course.
However, they say, the forms of the mayor, being the termination of the contract in secret to full, and refusing to negotiate with the company the contract, are a new political mistake.

GMS ensures that the mayor seeks to take over the collection of water bills to continue wasting and, if no one remedy, the result of so much nonsense will be a worse service to the citizen, the dismissal of several employees of the company and the council will have to compensate the company with an amount that could exceed 12 million euros
