Municipal authorities, civil and religious, and hundreds of people joined yesterday the image of the pattern of Totana, St. James, in a solemn procession, which was ported to the shoulders of the brothers of the Confraternity of Denial, and that traveled the streets of the location coinciding with the local festival.
The event began with a Mass held in the Church of Santiago El Mayor in honor of the patron St. James, after the Eucharist, celebrated by the parish priest, Jose Ruiz Garcia.
The procession was headed by the Illustrious Cabildo Superior processions and accompanied by the Band of Totana musical band, which toured the Constitution square, Calle Pilar, Don Jose Maria, Avenida Santa Eulalia and San Antonio.
After the procession, the image of St. James returned to his church, where it waits a year until their return to remove many of the faithful in procession through Totana.
