The conference of the research group working on the archaeological site of La Bastida Argaric was a popular success in the cultural center "Jail", where the project's technical directors provided an interesting presentation on the findings during excavation in recent years.
The archaeological research group, headed by Professor of the Autonomous University of Barcelona, ​​Vicente Lull, led the briefing on the findings that were found during excavation of the site totanero, which was attended by a large audience who completed the capacity .
Titled "Did you know that European capital Totana was 4,000 years ago? La Bastida: The Power of Memory" experts archaeologists who have worked at the site for over three years, announced to the audience in general what are the findings that have been found at the site, making it unique in Europe.
The site of La Bastida is the protagonist of a project begun in late 2008 that has two main objectives.
The first is to do research that combines systematic archaeological surveys, excavations and interdisciplinary scientific analysis of past and future findings in La Bastida.
The second objective is to lay the groundwork for the creation of a research center on Mediterranean prehistory and, simultaneously, a museum and outreach initiative based at the site itself.
The project is led by Vicente Lull, Rafael Mico, Roberto Cristina Rihuete and Risch, Autonomous University of Barcelona, ​​and has the support and sponsorship of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Region of Murcia, the city of Totana and Ministries of Industry, Tourism and Trade.
Currently working on the project some thirty professionals from the most diverse branches of science and technology.
