The mayor, Isabel Maria Sanchez, recently visited the CEIP "Regional-Deitania" to know, first hand, the state of the works of the two new classrooms to be built this summer so they can be completed by the beginning of the school year 2012/13.
The redevelopment of the CEIP "Regional-Deitania" have been awarded to the company "Asphalt Pavements Lario, SL", the health and safety plan at work was approved at the last meeting of the Local Government Board.
The Local Government Board Totana City Council awarded the works at the meeting on April 23 to the company, amounting to 485,990 euros and a deadline of three months.
The mayor has visited the school to require the company flexibility in its implementation after the usual administrative delays drag these works, and to be financed with the decline in the construction of CEIP "The Cross", so to be financed by the Ministry of Education.
During the visit was also attended by the director of CEIP "Regional-Deitania, Ginesa Sanchez, and the head teacher, Antonio Urrea, respectively.
