Totana Local Police has joined the special campaign of control and motorcycles that of the Directorate General of Traffic (DGT) launched on Monday, May 21 and has finished on Sunday May 27th , according to sources from the Department of Public Safety.
The aim of the campaign is to monitor and control the motorcycle and, in parallel, inform and raise awareness of the need to drive responsibly.
Have also been controlled randomized a total of 84 motorcycles and mopeds, in a total of 15 inspections carried out at different times and points in the town of Totana.
Thus, the agents inspected on all rates of alcohol for drivers, the rate at which circulating, overtaking antirreglamentarios and other moving violations and helmet use, the license plate and documentation, among other parameters which contained the campaign.
During the first two days of the campaign, the controls were informative, especially in the vicinity of schools in secondary education, and that mopeds are often used very often in the movement of students.
In these, 24 were detected incidents in the helmet, because it had not properly secured.
The remaining 28 days are open to disciplinary Road Safety Act: 9 by the use of helmets, 7 for not having passed the MOT, 6 for not having insurance in place, 1 for not having proper documentation and 7 by altering the technical characteristics (lack of left mirror).
It has also been reported to some drivers under 18 and driving license after 01/09/2008, they could not move with a passenger on the moped.
