The Mayor of Totana, Isabel Maria Sanchez, will present a motion to the next full regular April for the Ciudad Deportiva "Espuña" Totana be renamed in the future "Valverde Queen" in tribute to the late Councillor for Sports Over the past eight years, Jose Antonio Valverde Queen, and true driver of the sports infrastructure, who died a month ago.
The councilor recalled that in Totana, it is customary to call our best spaces and public places or facilities with the proper name of people who have excelled in their careers both human and professional or public.

The mayor explained that, as Councillor for Sports, sports participation totanero reached heights previously unknown to both sports clubs and users in their own Department of Sports, and notes that doubled the number of clubs from the existing twenty in 2003 to nearly fifty people today.

This infrastructure consists currently of two football fields with artificial turf, locker rooms, five tennis courts and two paddle courts, and now enables every week hundreds of children and adults in sport.
