The City of Totana going to give the Home Office a total of three large classrooms on the ground floor of the Old Institute, located on Avenida de Lorca, as temporary headquarters of the Civil Guard barracks in this city, while advancing the work of Emergency rehabilitation of barracks room at the Redondo Lieutenant Perez, who suffered major damage after the May earthquake in Lorca.
Councilman Security, Francisco Hernandez, said the relocation of the existing building Civil Guard barracks at Old Institute will occur in the next few days after it has completed the installation of various communication systems necessary.
This transfer is made to coincide with the commencement of work on the deck of the barracks and shoring up several areas for the recovery of this infrastructure.
The mayor explained that, at least for the next three months this body will remain in service in the former premises of the institute.
The rehabilitation and improvement of the barracks has a deadline of six months and is being executed by a unit venture (JV).
