The Mayor of Totana, Isabel Maria Sanchez, and municipal government representatives presented last night to the neighborhood associations and local associations, during an informational meeting held at the cultural center "Jail", the conclusions of the economic study and financial measures included in the viability plan.
Municipal officials appeared before about 80 representatives of different associations of the last full agreements outstanding and to be forwarded to the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration, and set collected some proposals and initiatives of citizens' savings in order that some of they study and can be implemented in the coming months.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Mayor reported that this initiative was part of his interest to be transparent and inform neighbors about the real economic and financial situation of the municipal coffers, and reiterated that it will resume in the coming months to account for the new situation.
Sanchez explained the current state which is the processing of Municipal Management Plan and reported that the current debt is 84.3 billion euros: long-term financial institutions amounted to 42 million euros, with suppliers is 32 and the ten remaining public and other agencies, respectively.
Moreover, he realized the containment of public spending that have been implemented since June 2011 to help maintain municipal services provided to the citizen and explained the reasons for the increase in the rate of garbage and externalizing school services for children in Totana, among other issues.
Some neighborhood representatives presented their approaches to crop and provided inputs for the generation of employment, personnel policy in the Consistory, use of sporting and social infrastructure, attract investment, among other ideas.
