The Autonomous Community of Murcia teams renew computer rooms Totana

The Autonomous Community of Murcia, through the Integra Foundation, is undertaking the renovation of old computer equipment for computer rooms Totana Telecentre Network and improving Internet connectivity to them, thanks to general management commitment to new technologies, as reported by the Councillor for Innovation and Information Society, David Amoros.

The renewal of computers and the Internet is being carried out in three phases, the first of them renewed the call center equipment of the Center for Elderly, Paretón Library, the Social Centre and the Centre for Social Lebor the neighborhood of San Francisco.

In the second phase, already underway, will be renewed occupational center equipment José Moya, the social center of Upper and Raiguero Social Center Under Raiguero.

The third phase is for the renewal of Internet access in telecenters Lebor, Raiguero Raiguero High and Low, provided that the mobile broadband technology can replace the satellite technology in telecentres, a feature which is currently under study at present.

Councilman Innovation and Information Society, David Amoros, explained that the old computers are being recycled and refurbished are being used as reinforcement equipment in the same call center, so thanks to this are also leading some municipal services as the Internet access service of the Library of Parral or repaired equipment donations to associations and groups.

The recycling of such equipment as the mayor argued, is being carried out thanks to the commitment and high qualification of municipal officers.

Love has remembered that telecentres are integrated subject to renewal in June 2007 in the project Room Network Computing Totana (Raitotana) and it is a local initiative project that has united under a single name the different classes of computing Totana municipality.

The Network Computer Room Totana (RAITOTANA) compose eleven computer labs made available to the public all over the municipality.

These, as pointed out by the mayor of New Technologies are the result of various agreements between the City of Totana and the Autonomous Community of Murcia.

Of the eleven computer rooms, 5 are Free Access Walas and 6 are Telecentres, and mostly free access to the Internet and new technologies for all citizens.
