The assembly of the Illustrious Cabildo Totana processions Superior has agreed to launch a campaign to collect food to help families in the city are faring worse and who lack the basics to live.
To mark this profound crisis that we're playing live, the Fraternities and Brotherhoods of the Illustrious Cabildo Superior Processions in collaboration with Caritas of our parish, the Church of Santiago el Mayor of Totana, have been in need of help and work by our city, and in these times, to resolve, or at least try, the problems presented by the most needy families.
"One Kilo, a Brother", is nothing more than to try that we can all contribute during this time of Advent, to gather food for the needy, and send a message of hope for those who need it.
For almost a month the Illustrious Cabildo work hard to achieve the greatest possible number of staple foods with the parish Caritas to help alleviate somewhat the huge flood of people come every day looking for this help.
The campaign, which will involve all the Fraternities and Brotherhoods, will run from 1 to 17 December, the day on which delivery is made to Caritas food on the occasion of the celebration of the Novena to St. Eulalia in which assist these Fraternities and Brotherhoods of Totana.
Following the main demands of Caritas, there will be collection of oil, milk, lentils, chickpeas and beans.
The initiative is not directed only to members of sororities and fraternities, but the entire population in general, you can help bringing their contributions to the headquarters of the Fraternities and Brotherhoods (depending on the day that they instructed their brethren brothers) or Parish Caritas Santiago, located on Calle Santiago No. 4, Thursdays and Fridays between 17 and 20 hours.
The campaign will remain active until December 17.
