Press Release AEMC on the General Urban Plan

Source:

More than twelve years ago, years ahead of most municipalities in the region, the city of Totana, with good vision, and the idea of attracting productive investments began his General Urban Plan, many municipalities have been Having begun years have seen investments reach, having completed the process.

Totana, over the years there have been a municipal corporations and other political sign, has been governed by coalitions or absolute majority, and in all cases have been unable to bring up a tool as fundamental to the development of the municipality.

From the very beginning has made this issue a matter of ideology, used by all parties in a demagogic, seeking returns and forgetting that it is your responsibility to agree to approve this Plan for the benefit of the people of Totana.

When citizens cast their vote in polls give up some sovereignty in favor of some representatives in the belief that it constitutes the most effective way to solve the problems that arise, facilitating understanding between residents of the municipality.

Here the opposite has happened, while civil society demonstrates every day that understanding is possible to build relationships of all sorts, signing agreements and contracts, our politicians have proved unable to do so.

Representatives have forgotten that politicians are public servants and it is time to assume their proper role, following the example of their neighbors, and work for solutions, rather than become the problem.

Society needs rules to manage coexistence, all may not be to everyone's taste, but it is clear that their absence is what leads to further injury.

The current situation only leads to legal uncertainty and paralysis of the productive activity of Totana, in some critical moments in the economy, which is essential to promote development and job creation in any sector.

Keeping these attitudes, claiming at the moment to start the discussions and proposals, leaving the entire path, further delaying the process, thereby jeopardizing the economic development of Totana, is incurring a liability which can not be free of consequences.

At the extraordinary plenary session that discussed the General Plan, was again demonstrated that the politicians who represent us will not be the work on one hand, the opposition parties on the other hand the party in government.

It would be good for the ruling party, reach out to opposition parties to together work from the point which is currently the General Plan and it would be good for the opposition parties, in a gesture of humility and resignation part of their approach to contribute to the image that needs abroad Totana.

The consensus can not be a requirement of the opposition, the polls have spoken and there is no argument in a democracy more than this, but we believe from AEMC, which also corresponds to the ruling party in a gesture of humility, and reach out to all the parties represented, to enjoy as soon as final approval.

It is time to begin consultations that have already been made by both governments as a sign of another, it is time to work and forget the barn of votes that each group wants to collect, it is time to push everyone forward, knowing that otherwise the people will not forgive them.

Forget the past, and launder its image abroad today requires us to understand, being the best omen for our children have a future in the village they were born.
