The mayor reported that this measure is part of the line of cuts and austerity policies promoted in different areas of management by the City.
It has also indicated that the budget in this concept of compensation is a reduction of between 65 and 70%, ie about 43,000 per year, representing an estimated saving of 160,000 euros in the legislature.
He reiterated that he, as president of the Board of Proinvitosa is not freed or part-time and therefore only receive compensation for attendance at this for 120 euros each and explained that in this new era, advocates advice as participatory and transparent as possible.
He also explained that the proportionality of the Council is agreed to in 1999 when the municipal government took the PSOE and IU.
The Board of Proinvitosa has a total of 9 directors, of which 7 are appointed by the PP, PSOE and for each other by IU-Greens.
