The councilman of Social Welfare and Citizenship, Juan Carrion Tudela, along with the president and vice president of the Association Infirmorum Salus, Joaquina Lucerga, and María José García, presented the activities taking place to mark the "Volunteer Meeting XI Totanero" .
This year will be held at the Centro Sociocultural Jail, on 17 February, recognizes volunteers who work selflessly to the association and will open the course to be carried out on the occasion of the meeting "excellent accompaniment to our elderly and the sick in homes, hospitals and residences. "
This course is for volunteers, caregivers and families in general, as well as people interested in this type of care.
The seminar has a duration of 46 hours teaching, 16 of which theory is taught in the audiovisual room of the College of The Miracle and the other 30 hours, which will be practical, be developed in residential homes or in the "home".
The mayor thanked the representatives of the Association the work performed in the municipality to offer such training courses through which improves the quality of life of people who have a progressive and incurable disease.
In this respect, teaching the course coordinator, explained that the organization of this course is to contribute to the training and expertise of the participants on issues related to the care and proper treatment in the elderly.
Similarly, the vice president of the Association thanked all individuals and entities that have collaborated in the organization the same as the City of Totana, Murcia Institute of Social Action, University of Murcia, the College of Nursing Murcia, Murcia Society of Geriatric and Gerontological Nursing, and Area III of the Health Service of Murcia.
People who are interested in conducting this training course will have to register with the headquarters of the Association "Our Lady Salus Infirmorum" Romero street number 7 until the day of the course starts on 1 March.
