The Minister of Universities and Research Company, Salvador Marín, accompanied by the Mayor of Totana, José Martínez, today made the first stone of a new industrial service to the estate 'The Saladar' consisting of a service station and a parking trucks, which will open next summer to increase the competitiveness of enterprises.
This new infrastructure will serve more than 150 companies established in that industrial park, "as well as the rest of the regional fleet, given its strategic location near major arteries in the region: the Mediterranean motorway, the de Totana- Mazarron, Alhama and Campo de Cartagena, "said the counselor.
In addition, the new station will supply fuel at a reduced price for carriers, "allowing companies to improve the competitiveness of its logistics activities related to their industry and cost savings," he added.
The station, with a total area of 6,400 square meters, has in the first phase with two paths, a fountain and four hoses for the supply of diesel as well as pre-installation for liquefied gas tank pressure (LPG) with an initial investment of approximately 325,000 euros.
Also, parking can accommodate more than thirty large trucks and about 20 cars.
In addition, the project for the next phase includes a 1,000 square meter plot for the construction of a garage, laundry and shop, among other services.
Both facilities have a total investment of 948,122 euros, of which 81,904 euros will be provided by the regional government, through the Instituto de Fomento (info), for the provision of equipment and value-added services that contribute to the development of economic activity of both business and home to the polygon to be installed in the future.
In the past two years, Europe has invested 320,185 euros these industrial facilities.
In this regard, the head of the Ministry stressed that "investments like this are a new regional government boost the logistics sector in the region. In the last two years the Community has intensified these actions to support local initiatives to attract investment and stimulate the economy. "
This industrial park was developed by Proinvitosa and began promotion in 1991.
It has nearly 1.5 million square feet of the nearly 900,000 are urbanized, so they have enough land to accommodate future expansion and new industry initiatives.
Among the equipment of this infrastructure is the Local Development Centre of the City, a business incubator, sports, health care for children, two hotels and leisure services.
