The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, and the director general of the Employment Service and Training in the Region of Murcia (SEF), Ginés Martínez, have closed the Workshop School Project Casa de las Monjas I, which has trained thirty young at a time to reassess the building located in the Natural Park of Sierra Espuña.
Thanks to this project as the mayor pointed Development and Employment, funded by the Department of Employment with an amount of 830,716 euros, have managed to carry out two major initiatives.
On the one hand, getting 30 youngsters from the municipality to form and acquire knowledge in three areas of construction such as masonry, carpentry and electricity.
At the same time, students have received a salary for the work they have developed in the Workshop School.
Moreover, as highlighted the council, has managed to strengthen to give value to an infrastructure that will become an asset of the Natural Park of Sierra Espuña.
Students, with the help of the monitors of the Workshop School, have carried out the refurbishment of complete roof coverings, cornices have also made new concrete cornices, the interior partitions, the slab reinforcement, the new boiler , the pre sanitation and heating, among other things
The building was purchased by the City Council in 2007, consisting of over 30,000 square meters, has another 500 square meters on two floors entitled height comprises various halls and rooms for various uses.
