Friday afternoon COATO held its annual general meeting attended by over a thousand members who knew and approved the report and accounts for the year 2009-2010.
This approval came after the detailed statement of the audit report and financial report and accounting by the heads of AUDIMUR and PROMER, who explained in detail both the balance sheet as compliance with tax and accounting obligations by COATO, confirming to the membership both increased turnover and the confirmation of the soundness of the enterprise, while delivering a copy of their reports to members and were willing to provide any clarification or explanation they needed even after the assembly.
COATO President stressed that there was no cooperative to provide copies of these audit reports, balance sheet and income statement and the accounts of the company, and partners also had a chance to meet face these reports directly from those issued them, which was a guarantee and security for members and for transparency and control for the society as well as an assurance to suppliers and customers in the context of instability and economic uncertainty we are experiencing.
After the explanation of the report on the impact of the different sectors in which COATO act, proceeded to explain the outline of the Strategic Plan for 2011-2014 COATO and approved the creation of the Foundation COATO and prizes were awarded to outstanding members in the various products.
General Assembly also addressed the choice of new governing council, auditors and resources committee, re-elected as President for four years to José Luis Hernández, along with a comprehensive management team partially renovated and in which, as stated by the President of COATO assembly involved, including the boards of products, more than eighty members and managers.
He also highlighted the President of COATO that, in addition to several awards at regional and national billing COATO both as the group of related companies last year had increased by around 12%, reaching for the group over 44 million euros (more than 7,300 million pesetas) and that a constitution COATO Foundation sought to create the legal framework for non-profit entity to develop different activities in the territorial and socio-economic environment, working with various entities and institutions.
