A total of 840 participants met yesterday at the Sports Pavilion Ibáñez Manolo the town to celebrate a new edition of "Bicycle Day", which this time has been sponsored by companies Vicman Industries, Construcciones Hnos Palomares, Bike Antonio Martínez Sport and Bicycles Padi.
The day began at 9:30 am with registration and ending in the City Park at 12:30 pm with a raffle of gifts and awards the hand of the sports council, José Antonio Valverde Queen.
All participants were given a commemorative shirt.
The march began at 11:00 am from the side of the pool deck.
The tour with one hour spent on the following streets: Calasparra, San Antonio, Juan XXIII, Plaza Juan de la Cierva, Father Angel Novelle, Santa Barbara, the Gardeners Cruz, Avenida Juan Carlos I, Tabarca, Avda Lorca , Sol, Salvador Aledo, Plaza Francisco Palao, San Ildefonso, Priest Martínez Romero, General Aznar, General Munoz Grandes, Bridge of Gardeners, and finish at the park.
Upon arrival, participants proceeded to the park delivering prizes were awarded to: the trophy for the youngest participant; Abellaneda Alberto Gonzalez, the oldest participant, Martin Romero Andreo, the original participant, Domingo Ignacio Martínez Aznar; trophy to the largest family, the family Martinez Mill.
19 is then raffled gift bags, containing a helmet purchased by the Department of Sports, and other material of company-sponsored cycling Vicman Industries.
Recipients of these gift bags were: Bartholomew Peñalver, Joaquin Lopez, Bonifacio Garcia, Pedro Tudela, Paula Gomez, Francisca Andreo, Francisco Tudela, Susi Andreu, Marta Martínez, Salvador Romero, Paula Cánovas, Juan Gil, Natalia López, Joaquín López , Pablo Fernández, Juan Rogelio Garcia, Jesus Martinez, Jeronimo Moreno and Esteban Eulalia.
Ultimately three bikes were raffled, donated by Antonio Martínez Sport Bike, Bikes Padi and the Department.
The bikes were given to José Ponce Vázquez, Antonio Fernández and Dami Andreo Pedro Zamora.
Finally, from the Department of Sports was once again thanked the support of Civil Protection, Local Police, Sport Volunteers and staff of the departments of sports and city services that have made this event takes place.
