The Department of Women and Equal Opportunities Totana City Council has called for one more year "IV Poster Competition Against Gender Violence", to commemorate the International Day of Violence against Women, held on 25 November.
This initiative, approved by the Local Government Board, through which young people try to promote a culture of prevention in relation to gender violence, is one of the activities to commemorate the International Day for Violence against Women, to be held on 25 November.
The aim of this competition is to create a poster that encourages and fosters attitudes in society and values that promote respect between men and women, and contribute to the elimination of gender violence.
You can set a second prize for the best slogan whose message is to motivate the whole society to develop behaviors that aim to eliminate gender violence.
The deadline for submitting posters ends on November 19 and can be submitted to the Department of Women's Rights and Equal Opportunity, located at Calle Sor Josefa Perez with 8:00 to 15:00 or Socio-Cultural Center "Jail" with hours from 8:00 to 14:00 and 17:00 to 21:30.
Participation in this competition individually or in groups of young people aged 12 to 18 years old, unpublished works and not present in any other contest winners until 12 November.
The theme of the poster, which must be related to the commemoration of International Day Against Violence Against Women, must contain a message that is positive and fosters the rights of women, as reported by the mayor in charge of the municipal area, Maria Josefa Sanchez Mendez.
The poster should appear "November 25: International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women" and the theme chosen by each contestant, who will seek to motivate the whole society to develop behaviors that aim to eliminate gender violence.
The technique and design of the poster will be free and each participant may submit up to two posters, which will be submitted unsigned and author's name, but with a title or slogan on the back.
The work must be submitted in a sealed envelope, to the outside shall contain "IV Poster Competition Against Gender Violence 2010, Totana" and "slogan or title" to be stated.
In this envelope is also introduced another sealed envelope which shall bear on its outside the "theme or title" and inside detailing the data of an author's name, address, phone, e-mail, age, name the school, along with a photocopy of the DNI.
The first prize is worth $ 200, the second with 150 euros and 100 euros a consolation prize for the best slogan whose message intended to motivate the whole society to develop behaviors that aim to eliminate gender violence.
