The Cultural Days "Uncle Pencho" continue with the celebration of the 4th Open Paddle and for the first time, with a Domino Tournament, which will take place the last two weekends of October in the town of Totana.
These two events have been received from the Councillor for Sports, José Antonio Valverde Queen, and the organizers of the activities, and Virginia Abellaneda Pedro Martínez, who have ensured that every year this initiative is gathering more people and makes the city Totana be promoted throughout the Region of Murcia.
This third quarter of the tournament, which is organized by the Tennis Club, sponsored by the character of the newspaper cartoons of Truth, "Uncle Pencho" (performed by the artist Manuel Sánchez Baena), and with the cooperation of the City of Totana well as about a dozen companies, among which is the newspaper "The Truth."
The competition director was pleased to celebrate the third edition of this competition and announced that this tournament, which will this year again with the presence of Uncle Pencho.
In addition, Abellaneda has advanced to the next year is going to sign an agreement with the University of Murcia for students of second cycle of the School of Journalism to make their practices as spectators of the tournament and working as a media agency.
For his part, Councillor for Sports has again demonstrated its satisfaction with the organization of this tournament, "promote the town" through a sport that each day is going to proliferate more, so has offered the support of the institution the organization of such events, encouraging all citizens to participate in or attend this tournament.
Also, Virginia Martinez explained that in the Essay Competition provides for the participation of more than 60 students from schools, and the deadline for entries is October 27 at City Hall.
Thus, recalled that the first job classification will have a prize of a laptop, a video game the second and the third a camera, awards sponsored by Cajamar.
Also, new this year is organized Domino Tournament which is expected to involve 20 partners from different parts of the Region of Murcia and will be held on 25, 26 and 27 October at the Senior Municipal Center .
The deadline to register is October 20.
Tournament
The tournament will be divided into two phases to be held in the Sports City and Tennis Club, one of them in advance to be held on 23 and 24 October and the finals will be played on 30, 31 October and 1 November.
The prizes are for the champions in the category 1 male with 600 euros in the second men's, two tickets to the upcoming match between Barcelona and Madrid and the hotel that night, and in the female category, a package Celtic with two nights at the Hotel Don Juan Montiel.
The runners in the men receive 300 euros and the second two high-end blades, in the women's two ladies watches.
In the third category, the winning male, 150 euros, the second men's side, two lots of perfume Vip, and females, two hair dryers and irons.
Finally, the champions of the men's consolation win two women's razors and the two dryers.
Moreover, the best local couple will be given two Nike sports glasses.
