Totana is the third municipality in the region that receives the most economic level of the District Councils
A total of 52 unemployed people in the municipality have been contracted by the City, under a grant from the SEF, to work on sanitation and cleanliness of roads in the locality.
In this regard, council members and Employment Development, José Antonio Valverde Queen and Comprehensive Maintenance Services and the City, Sergio Lopez, have expressed satisfaction with the amount of finance that will receive the City Council through the Public Employment Service and the Autonomous Region for the County Councils in 2010, as the municipality will receive 42.6 percent (444,808.35 euros) of total euro 1,044,006.39 Guadalentín County.
Also, Totana is the third municipality in the region, after Cieza and Moratalla, most economic quantity that is to receive, increasing this amount for the year 2009 to 1.61 percent.
Under this grant is to be carried out as in previous years, the Works Project Cleaning and Public Roads, in two phases, with three months' duration each, in which there are plans to hire 104 unemployed people in total: 52 and 52 agricultural workers respectively in each of the phases, which will take place from August to October and from October to January, respectively.
The roads affected are located both in the various districts of the municipality, for the movement of agricultural workers, as the roads near the village, area of orchards, and roads will be repaired and Hall Real (Raiguero ), Don Luis (El Paretón), the Ermita de la Huerta, The Drylands and Caparros (La Huerta) of the Glen Hermosa and the Stone of Víbola, Mortolitos, Ezekiel and The Jaboneros (Morti) John Teresa (Lebor) of the New Way of Hornico of Mazarron and Turbinto (The Norian).
In this regard, Councilman Comprehensive Maintenance Services and the City has pointed out, after the discomfort of some residents of the municipality that have not been hired, the selection of staff has been hired out exclusively by the SEF Region Murcia, and we will do everything possible for these people who have stayed out of this selection to be called in case of casualties.
