The young members of the association elect a new management team led by Mario Ruscher
AEP, the student association of the IES Prado Mayor de Totana (Murcia), an independent FEMAE member association, chose last Friday, April 6, through a democratic process in which its more than 30 members participated, a new board of directors for a one year period.
The new board of the student association will be composed: Mario Ruscher, as president;
Mariam Sabar, as vice president;
Carlota Moneglia, as treasurer;
and Sara López, as secretary.
"The new management team is very motivated and keeps many projects up their sleeves that we will try to implement during the remainder of the school year and next," said the new president.
In this new stage, the association aims to encourage the participation of students in the center, inform on the rights and duties of students and spread the need to work to achieve a quality educational system, free, comprehensive and individualized .
Up to now, AEP has managed to launch important initiatives such as: a plan to attract partners and partners through informative talks and social networks, which allowed it to be made known among the students;
present a draft protocol before strikes for students to the center's management;
present a draft of the Local Youth Council for Totana;
present a project for the "Seeds for integration" grant;
reopen all the bathrooms of the institute during breaks;
get a seat for the association in the institute;
conduct educational workshops on the importance of educating in feminism;
or attend together with the rest of FEMAE associations to the manifestation of 8M.
The new board of directors wants to thank the previous management team, especially José Meroño Carrasco for his involvement in taking the association forward.
