On Saturday, February 24, Calasparra hosted the Regional Final Round Table Tennis School Sports, organized by the General Directorate of Sports of the Region of Murcia, where teams in children's category and youth male IES Juan de la Cierva got the first place.
According to sources from the Department of Sports, in addition, in the youngest category, the CEIP "Santiago" also managed to climb the podium in second place.
In the youngest category, the Santiago de Totana School won the victory against the Colegio Nuestra Fatima de Molina de Segura, but lost against the team that would ultimately be the champion, the San Francisco de Asís School in Lorca.
In female children, the IES Juan de la Cierva won his three matches against the IES Los Albares de Cieza, San Agustín School of Fuente Alamo and School School Team of Murcia.
Finally, the male youth team of IES Juan de la Cierva also won all their matches against IES Diego Tortosa de Cieza, IES Sierra de Carrasco and El Palmar de Murcia and Murcia School School Team.
The competition concluded with the delivery of trophies and medals to the first three teams classified in the different categories, by Eduardo Segarra Vicens, representative of the General Directorate of Sports of the Region of Murcia.
