The Local Stage of School Sports Table Tennis was held on Saturday, February 3, organized by the Department of Sports of the City of Totana, in collaboration with the Table Tennis Club, which involved a total of 69 schoolchildren of the different teaching centers of the locality, pertaining to the categories benjamín, alevín, infantile and juvenile, in the modality of equipment.
In the youngest category, the Santiago School won the first place, followed by the Santa Eulalia and Tierno Galván schools, in the second and third positions respectively.
In the juvenile category, the Reina Sofia School rose to the top of the podium, while the Tierno Galván School was second and the Colegio Santiago third.
Finally, in the female children's category, the IES Juan de la Cierva was proclaimed champion by winning the San José School in the final.
The competition concluded with the delivery of trophies and medals to the three best classified teams, by the Town Planning Councilor, Carlos Ballester Méndez, and the President of the Table Tennis Club, Domingo Méndez.
In addition, the champion team of each category will have the opportunity to participate in the South Zone Conference of Table Tennis School Sports, organized by the General Directorate of Sports of the Region of Murcia, next Saturday February 10, in Los Alcázares.
