The City Council of Totana has recently submitted to the Ministry of Finance and Public Function the proposal for an extension of the budget for the year 2018 with the adjustments made to the initial forecasts included in the current budget approved for the year 2017.
The purpose of transferring the file is to submit it to a prior and binding report of the aforementioned Ministry, accompanied by the required documentation, in this case, financial report and execution bases, the revenue and expenditure budget of the City Council and municipal companies and inspection report of the Intervention.
This proposal will be made taking into account that it has not been possible to meet in advance, as of December 31, 2017, with the procedures necessary for a new budget to enter into force on January 1, 2018, so that the processing of the corresponding extension of the current budget for the year 2017.
The totanero Consistory had access to extraordinary measures and additional mechanisms to support liquidity articulated by the General State Administration within the framework of the first additional provision of Organic Law 2/2012, of April 27, on Budgetary Stability and Sustainability Financial
In fact, access to these mechanisms imposed the condition of submitting to a prior and binding report by the Ministry of Finance and Public Function both the project of the municipal general budgets and, where appropriate, the budget extension, if at the beginning of the fiscal year 2018 there was no entry into force the corresponding budget.
