For a maximum amount of 15,000 euros

The Department of Planning of the City of Totana and the Directorate General of Planning, Architecture and Housing of the Autonomous Community held a meeting yesterday with owners interested in the call for aid for the rehabilitation of homes in Totana, whose term ends next January 16, and with which you can get maximum subsidies of up to 15,000 euros in each case.

The Autonomous Community has called for public aid for the rehabilitation of housing in the municipalities of Cartagena, Alcantarilla, Totana, Mula, Santomera, Abarán, Ceutí, Fortuna, Blanca, Albudeite and Ojós.

The Official Bulletin of the Region of Murcia (BORM) published last Friday the call for aid whose deadline for submission of applications ends on January 16 and in which you can get a maximum grant of 14,850 euros per home.

The meeting was attended by the Director General of Planning, Architecture and Housing, Laura Sandoval, the Mayor, Andrés García, and the Town Planning Councilor, Carlos Ballester, as well as municipal and external technicians and neighbors interested in this line of aid.

This includes actions of conservation, renovation of facilities, accessibility and improvement of energy efficiency;

and the revitalization of the urban centers of the municipalities will be promoted, converting them into more attractive environments, with almost 50 percent of the cost of the works, which will mean a total public investment of more than 3.5 million euros.

The cost of the rehabilitation of the houses amounts to 515,000 euros in Totana, of which more than 243,000 euros will be financed by the Community and the Ministry of Development, through the aid of the Housing Plan 2017.

The beneficiaries of the grants can be sole owners of homes, communities of owners, groupings of communities of owners and consortiums and associative bodies of management.

These subsidies for the development of Rehabilitation and Urban Regeneration Areas (ARRU) in the Region of Murcia, are framed in the 2017 Housing Plan, which promotes the Autonomous Community and the Ministry of Development.

The ARRU has a double objective: to implement measures that are environmentally sustainable and to encourage the development of new formulas of economic activity that can generate a niche market.

The subsidies allow to execute conservation works (foundation, structure, facilities, roofs, roofs, facades or other common elements), and improve the accessibility to the buildings through the installation of elevators, lifting mechanisms, access ramps or similar.

It also promotes the improvement of energy efficiency.

To this end, works in carpentry and windows are subsidized, the installation or replacement of heating, cooling, heating and ventilation production and works to improve the thermal insulation of networks and the installation of equipment that uses renewable energy.

The beneficiaries of the grants can be sole owners of homes, communities of owners, groupings of communities of owners and consortiums and associative bodies of management.
