Schoolchildren of 4th year of Primary Education of the different schools of Totana participate this year in the contest "In recycling, you paint a lot", within the environmental information and awareness campaign "Recycle and breathe".
This citizen awareness initiative includes several actions aimed at the adult and school population to encourage the recycling of waste, in collaboration with Ecoembes.
The campaign is carried out with the aim of improving the selective collection of waste in Totana and increase environmental awareness of the population, school and adult, affecting the use of containers in the clean points distributed in different parts of the urban area and the districts.
The initiative includes two specific actions through two separate contests called "Recycle and win" and "In recycling, you paint a lot", which have been developed with great success in previous editions.
In the first case it is addressed to the general public, and in the second, exclusively to students of 4th year of Primary Education of the educational centers of the municipality of Totana.
Through this campaign that will be developed in all schools in the municipality, the search for the development of attitudes and habits that involve full awareness and responsible action in improving the environment is favored.
The campaign is carried out through an active methodology, with an explanation of the main concepts of recycling, with informative material, in an entertaining and playful way, in which the contest serves to generate an awareness that awakens the sensitivity towards the care of the environment ambient.
This is how girls and boys learn the importance of separating waste correctly, and how recycling helps improve the quality of the planet's air.

The winners of the contest will receive a diploma and several gifts: a tablet (first prize), an MP4 (second prize) and a batch of school material.
