The Local Employment and Development Technician of Totana City Council, Isabel Morera Gisbert, has recently received the "Best Local Development Technician" Award this year, awarded by the Observatory of Rural, Local and Employment Development, in recognition of her professional career .

Morera carries out his professional activity as a Local Employment and Development technician in the Consistory of Totana for more than 22 years, since he started his professional career in this institution in February 1995.

The awarding of these awards took place during the celebration of the V Forum on Employment and Local Development, a meeting and discussion point for students, teachers and technicians of employment and local development who work or have an interest in economic promotion and the creation of employment, held at the Faculty of Labor Sciences of the University of Murcia.

The event was attended by the president of the Observatory, Francisco Carreño Sandoval, and the Vice Dean of Postgraduate Studies at the University of Murcia, Federico José Riquelme, respectively.

The Municipal Corporation and the technicians of the City Council of Totana want to congratulate Isabel Morera for this award that comes to recognize her long career and work in the Consistory totanero in this area of ​​municipal management.

The Observatory is an organ of the Association of Professionals and Technicians of Local, Rural and Employment Development;

and it is an interdisciplinary team of professionals who, at a given moment, consider the need to intervene, providing tools that contribute to the development of our Region.

This project arises within the Interuniversity Master of Management and Promotion of Local Development and Employment, although already during the first stages of its development have joined several technicians who are working in the territory as well as university professors and students.

This began to take shape at the beginning of 2010 and the tasks aimed at its constitution as an association have been carried out in parallel with the proposal and preparation of activities;

and it has a series of events, among which the Second Conference on Local Economies and the VIII Conference on Rural Development of the Region of Murcia stand out.

The Observatory of Rural, Local and Employment Development of the Region of Murcia works in the promotion of initiatives to contribute to the sustainable development of the rural environment;

and to sensitize and stimulate the population of the rural and local environment on the capacity of the territories to establish autonomous processes of development and change based on resources and potential.

In addition, it advocates participating by actively supporting the development processes that take place in local and rural areas, and promoting and improving the governance of these areas.
