The General Directorate for Women and Equal Opportunities of the Ministry of Family and Equal Opportunities has recently completed the course "Management of municipal reconciliation projects, from a gender perspective", which has been held in recent weeks at the Center for Local Development of Totana.

With this course, which has been developed until last October 24, it was intended to develop skills, identify the most appropriate reconciliation needs in the respective municipalities, to achieve greater efficiency of the project that allows the staff of the various municipalities of the Region manage municipal projects in conciliation matters, financed with Social Funds.

The City of Totana has been benefited, for this year, with a grant from the Ministry of Family and Equal Opportunities of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, and co-funded by the European Social Fund, for the realization of a conciliation project of work, personal and family life, during the next Christmas school holidays, amounting to 10,797 euros.

The project that has been the subject of this grant and that will be developed by the City Council is a school in the non-school period, specifically for the Christmas holidays;

and it will be destined to the attention of minors, with registration in the centers of Infantile and Primary Education of Totana, with ages between 3 and 12 years, whose parents work or participate in training actions for employment.

This initiative of conciliation is adapted to the labor needs of the Totanero municipality and includes recreational, educational activities, with leisure and free time monitors.

This course was aimed at the technical and political managers in matters of conciliation resources of the municipalities of the Region of Murcia.

There are four editions in different municipalities, one of them being Totana, in which technicians and councilors from the municipalities of Ãguilas, Alcantarilla, Aledo, Alhama de Murcia, Librilla, Lorca, Mazarrón, Mula, Puerto Lumbreras and Totana participate.

The course has been eminently practical and during the same the different participating municipalities have been able to expose their doubts and expectations so that these helps arrive at the town hall and to be able to realize the different schools in non-school (vacation) times such as Christmas, Easter and summer.

The grant comes directly from the European Social Fund and is sent to us by the General Directorate for Women and Equal Opportunities

It is intended, in a simple and practical way, to make known the different requirements that must be met in the field of information and communication;

and thus be able to guide the managing bodies and the beneficiaries of the aid in their tasks of management, monitoring and evaluation of the actions.
