The Department of Water reports that, for the second year and entering the third summer, the residents of the highlands of the municipal district of Totana, do not suffer lack of pressure in the service of drinking water or deficiencies in the same as it was happening summers ago ;
And points out that the current incidents are due only to specific faults or deficiencies in the networks, as is the case of the urbanization "La Charca".
With a very modest investment that was around 8,000 euros, through a new intake in the pipeline that fuels the drive of Aledo in the Camino de la Huerta, the Department solved the lack of water and pressure in areas such as Huerta, Mortolitos, Secanos, And "La Charca", among others.
According to the same sources, this work is expected to expand to the area of ​​the Llanos and Horse Race, increasing the quality of service and saving on the expense of electricity.
Since the execution of this work in addition to solving the problem, the new meter has measured 104,510 cubic meters that previously had a cost of elevation around 19 cents cubic meter and now goes free for not using electrical energy to put it in the network Distribution to neighbors.
With this measure, the energy saving is around 20% and a saving in euros of almost 20,000 euros that have greatly improved the initial investment, in addition to substantially improving the Service.
These solutions are part of the Plan to obtain financing to eliminate the cost of electricity, improving the service to all the high areas, from Los Aramillejos to Viñas and Carivete.
The same sources of the Department explain that this action was made despite promises of investments, with amendments of the Parliamentary Group of Citizens in the Regional Budgets of 2017, which have not yet reached the municipal coffers.
