In addition, several sections of the existing irrigation canal have been piped along the roadway and the waste water collection chambers have been rebuilt.
Fernández Lladó stressed the importance of this work that will improve the access of visitors to the argaric site of La Bastida, one of the most important in European prehistory.
The site is located on a hill and was occupied between the years 2200 and 1550 BC.

The RM-C8 has a length of 8 kilometers and has an annual traffic intensity of 263,530 vehicles.
