Responsible for the City Council of Totana and the company "Unipublic", organizer of the Vuelta Ciclista a España, have recently met to coordinate the emergency and safety device on the occasion of the tenth stage of this sport race that will pass through Totana on 29 August.
The mayor, Andrés García, accompanied by the local police and the traffic group of the Civil Guard, have held a meeting to assess the needs of the test in their tour of this municipality.
Totana will be protagonist in the tenth stage of the Vuelta Ciclista to Spain that will pass the 29 of August between Caravaca de la Cruz and Alhama de Murcia, with a route of 171 kilometers, finalizing in front of the factory of "ElPozo Feeding".
The stage that will pass by Totana will be flat, and in principle is a stage of transition that will close with the ascent of Collegiate Bermejo.
This is conducive to an escape, although the selection that operates the final port can see happen to a good group to play the victory.
The same port will cause sprinters to be less active.
The next day, the eleventh, will have its starting point in Lorca and finish in Calar Alto (Almería).
The stage, called 'Caravaca Jubilar-El Pozo Alimentación', will leave from Caravaca de la Cruz and pass through the municipalities of Lorca, Totana, Alhama de Murcia and Librilla.
Its highest point will take place at kilometer 138.6, at Collado Bermejo, at an altitude of 1,190 meters.
