These are the so-called Social Courts, corresponding to the Social Jurisdiction.
Considering that this region covers the municipalities of Totana, Aledo, Puerto Lumbreras, Lorca and Aguilas, with a population that surpasses 175,000 inhabitants, a comparative grievance occurs against the Region of Murcia and Cartagena that if they have this service .
This circumstance not only affects workers and companies, but also is detrimental to professionals working with these groups: Counseling and Labor Agencies, Social Graduates and Lawyers, who have to travel to the city of Murcia for the celebration of Judgments in the workplace.
This situation is also extended to the absence of a Mediation, Arbitration and Conciliation Service (SMAC) in the social field, prior to the judicial process.
Again, unlike Murcia and Cartagena, where it is provided, the workers of our region, legal professionals and the companies themselves have to move to the capital to be able to hold their extrajudicial conciliations.
It is necessary to remember that this service of mediation was offered during a time in the city of Lorca, using for that reason dependencies assigned by the City council of that City.
This service was provided on a weekly basis, pointing out one day a week for its completion and concentrating on that day the conciliation papers that had been registered.
