In addition to proposing the public recognition of the Plenary of the City of Totana of the donations made by entrepreneur Amancio Ortega to the Spanish health system
The Municipal People's Group during the celebration of the ordinary plenary of the month of June, held tonight, will urge the City Council to show its support for Venezuelan political prisoners and solidarity with the Venezuelan people.
The Venezuelan situation transcends any dimension of political-ideological or partisan character.
Government abduction of all institutions, except for the National Assembly, and abject, abject use of force against freedom of expression and demonstration, evidence that Venezuela is being governed by a dictatorship that has committed crimes that do not have Amendment, nor can they prescribe in the future, and as the direct and indirect responsible of their action must be tried and condemned, they will continue committing the crimes that are necessary to maintain in power and evade justice.
It is necessary to restore human rights and democracy in Venezuela.
World leaders should immediately convene a high-level meeting to address the Venezuelan crisis and identify mechanisms to prevent further deaths, repression and torture of the innocent population.
The Municpal Popular Group will therefore propose that the plenary of this City Council expressly condemn the situation that is being experienced by the Venezuelan people as a result of the dictatorship established in that country.
That the Democratic Nations articulate all the necessary tools to restore human rights and democracy in the Venezuelan people.
And that the Government of Spain urge the international organizations for joint cooperation in the peace process of Venezuela, making effective the following petitions:
- Immediate resignation of those responsible for breaking the constitutional order.
- Absolute restoration of the powers of the National Assembly.
- Appointment of a transitional government.
- Immediate release of all political prisoners who were convicted of their political ideology.
- Renewal of judicial and electoral authorities from the National Assembly.
- Disarmament of paramilitary and urban groups that operate illegally.
- Opening humanitarian channels, for food and medical assistance.
- Call for regional, governmental and general elections under strict international supervision.
Other motions that will be debated tonight will be the one presented by the Popular Party on the incorporation of the Local Police Corps of the City Council to the "System of Integral Monitoring of cases of gender violence," and approve the model Collaboration Agreement with The Ministry of the Interior.
As well as initiate the processing of the file through the corresponding Unit of Coordination or Violence attached to the Government Subdelegations in the Delegation of the Government in the CC.AA, according to the Guide of procedure for the incorporation of the Local Police to the System Viogen.
Finally from this Popular Group we want that from the plenary of this City Hall a public recognition to the donations carried out by the entrepreneur Amancio Ortega to the public health system.
This motion is not intended to create a debate on THE SPANISH HEALTH SYSTEM, which we believe is a good system and must be supported by public resources.
But if we want to show our satisfaction and support to any kind of help, and in this case to the millionaire donations made by AMANCIO ORTEGA AND ITS FOUNDATION, being fully compatible and without being at odds with a system of public funding.
