Some thirty children participate during these school holidays at the Easter School "Holidays 3.0" which is held in the "Santiago" CEIP in order to promote the reconciliation of families with children of school age.

The mayor, Juan José Cánovas, and the Councilor for Youth, Inmaculada Blázquez, accompanied by leaders of the Collective for Social Promotion "El Candil" who coordinate this action, visited the school in order to know the development of the program.

The School of Holy Week took place on the 10th, 11th, 12th, 17th and 18th of April, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and it was attended by children enrolled in the second cycle of Early Childhood Education (3-6 years) or Primary Education (6-12 years), respectively.

Participants have developed play games and workshops, review and reinforcement of school, sports and outdoor activities, crafts and creative expression workshops, specific workshops for reading animation, Storytelling and responsible use of new technologies.

The Department of Youth promotes this program in order to reconcile the Easter holidays with work and family life, as more and more families in both parents are working or, where appropriate, receiving training for the search of Employment, Blázquez explained.

With this activity, the Department offers support to the concerns of leisure and leisure, which our young people, children and girls do in the town of Totana, with training activities, playful and non-consumer.

In addition, according to the mayor, what is intended is to enable spaces for integration and participation, so that children develop their creative capacity, involve children themselves in the development of leisure activities and free time, promote child and youth cooperation , Promote the interrelation between the members of the group and the surrounding environment favoring the socialization and personal development of each participant.

Finally, Inmaculada Blázquez congratulated and thanked the technicians of the Collective for Social Promotion "El Candil" their willingness to carry out a new edition of this program, as well as to the CEIP "Santiago" the transfer of its facilities for its development.
