About 300 cyclists will participate tomorrow in Totana at the XVIII Cycle Tourists ConBici, the so-called "Achoencuentros", organized by the Association "Murcia en Bici" from 8 to 16 April, which have the collaboration of Totana City Council.

The Councilor for Culture, Eulalia Moreno, accompanied by representatives of the promoter association "Murcia en Bici" presented this activity, which will bring together lovers of cycling and nature from all over Spain.

In addition to a bike tour to the city of pottery, cyclists and totaneros can enjoy a concert that the "Achoencuentros", in collaboration with the City of Totana, organize in the municipal auditorium "Marcos Ortiz" this locality.

This year 2017 and in its eighteenth edition, the Association "Murcia en Bici" is in charge of organizing the "Achoencuentros", an event that brings together dozens of cyclists from all over the country who are discovering the benefits of the Region of Murcia .

The route, which takes place from 8 to 16 April, takes the participants pedaling through emblematic places, crossing some of the most important cities and, of course, knowing the sea and the mountain that the Region of Murcia offers.

The "Achoencuentros" are part of the Cicloturistas Encounters, which every two years organizes one of the 54 entities that are part of ConBici (State Coordinator in Defense of the Bicycle) to visit different zones of the Spanish geography, realizing not only routes that Highlight the most beautiful of each area;

But enjoying cultural, gastronomic, recreational and educational activities that make these types of meetings a different way to enjoy the bicycle.

The "Achoencuentros" want, in addition to bringing together passionate cyclists, to demonstrate to citizens that cycling is one of the most efficient means of transport in short-distance distance and promote a different form of tourism, sustainable and clean tourism.

In addition, these meetings want to be a tool for the social change necessary, both in the way of understanding the mobility and in the way we interact during the trip, as explained during the presentation.

The first stage of Murcia to Totana is a total of nine - will take place on tomorrow 8 April, cyclists will make a spectacular crossing, crossing the Veredas Real and the Mill, enjoying the natural environment and the forest of Sierra Espuña, And can visit nearby areas as emblematic as La Bastida (an archaeological site of the most important in Europe), the church of Santiago el Mayor and the Arch of Ollerías, among other places.

Thanks to the collaboration of Totana's City Council, cyclists will be able to clean themselves and spend the night in the School Room and share with all totanera citizenship a tropical party, with a musical concert by the group "Entredos" and later music to dance.

All of this will be on April 8th from 9.30 pm in the "Marcos Ortiz" Municipal Auditorium of Totana and is open to the participation of all the neighbors and neighbors.
