During the celebration of tomorrow's plenary session in the City of Totana, the Municipal People's Group will request that a study be conducted for the use of animal therapies in Centers for the Elderly and Centers where people with disabilities come.
The TAA (Animal Assisted Therapy) is having a great boom all over the world because of its great efficiency and the high motivational value it has for the user.
It is not a therapy alone, but is the perfect complement to conventional therapies such as physiotherapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy or psychology.
Among its many benefits are: Regulation of the autonomic nervous system, power self-concept, essential for good emotional intelligence, favors self-esteem and locus of control, works self-control and tolerance to frustration, improves empathy, is a great facilitator Of the work of corporal consciousness, laterality, thick and fine psychomotricity and foment the inclusion and the respect to the diversity being the animal a nexus between the people whatever their capacities.
The accompaniment, affection and support that the animals offer to overcome difficulties of relationship as well as the support and affective support for both the elderly and people with disabilities, generates a strong emotional bond and numerous benefits for the users.
The Municipal Group will ask the plenary to urge the Governing Council of the Region of Murcia to study and take into account the use of animal therapies both in the centers of older people and in those where people with disabilities reside or go .
In addition to this proposal we will also propose during the course of the plenary to promote an urgent agreement between the Parliamentary Groups in the Congress of Deputies for the processing and approval of the General Budgets of the State of 2017
We consider the negotiation on the General Budget of the State to be urgent because of it derives the maintenance of the road map of the local public services or its regression.
The Popular Municipal Group will propose to the Plenary that from the City of Totana the Political Groups with parliamentary representation in the Cortes Generales be urged to lay the foundations and reach the necessary agreements that allow to arrive at the definitive approval of the Law of General State Budgets for The 2017 Fiscal Year. It will also push for a broad agreement to achieve local financing reform that will meet the expectations of long-standing local governments.
