The Department of Sports reports that last Saturday February 11 took place in Molina de Segura Regional Final Chess School Sports in the categories Alevín and Open, organized by the General Directorate of Sports of the Region of Murcia.
Carmen García Requena (Tierno Galván) and Juan José Vera Pargada (Juan de la Cierva) proclaimed themselves regional champions in the categories alevín and open respectively.
And also, in the team mode IES Juan de la Cierva also won the title of regional champion in the Open category, with a team made up of Juan Jose Vera Pargada, Cindy Ceron Amaguaya, Trinidad Cerón Amaguaya and Martín Otalora Berenguel.
In the fry category, five students from the Santiago School participated, with the following results: Joel Espejo Moro (31st), Guillermo Aledo Morales (60th), Jaime Cánovas Crespo (62nd), Ãlvaro Gómez Pérez (68th) and Francisco Martínez Legs (71 Â°);
And three other students from the Tierno Galván School were present: Carlos GarcíaTudela (35th), Héctor Cánovas Cánovas (57th) and Gonzalo Cánovas Cánovas (72nd).
As for the Open category, three students from the IES Juan de la Cierva were also present in this regional final, with these results: Martín Otalora Berenguel (10th), Cindy Ceron Amaguaya (21st) and Trinidad Cerón Amaguaya (24th);
And finally, also participated Ricardo Gomez Hernandez (La Milagrosa), who finished in 13th place.
The competition concluded with the awarding of trophies and medals to the first three classified in each of the categories, by the Lieutenant Mayor of Molina de Segura, José De Haro González;
And by the president of the Murcian Federation of Chess, Antonio Gallego Martínez.
