The Department of Youth will offer the service of the so-called "School of Reconciliation of Labor and Private Life" for the non-school days of the patron saints of Santa Eulalia and the holidays of Christmas, which will provide the Collective for Promotion Social "El Candil".
The councilor of the branch, Inmaculada Blázquez, and the head of "El Candil", Ana Castellano, have presented this service, which on this occasion is subsidized by virtue of a grant from the Department of Family and Equal Opportunities of the Autonomous Community Total amount of 9,850 euros, which are co-financed by the European Social Fund.
The mayor explained that the provision of this service is undoubtedly of public and social interest, since it enables and contributes to women, who traditionally assume family obligations, have access to employment and training on an equal basis.
In addition, said that being a service of conciliation subsidized, we are conditioned to be directed exclusively to children whose parents are working or receiving training for employment.
This initiative is a project that is proposed as a socio-educational response to the demands of the families of Totana and, above all, based on the favorable results obtained in previous editions, as a valid and effective tool for families in the field of reconciliation of the Work and family life.
The School of Work and Private Life Conciliation is aimed at 75 boys and girls enrolled in the second cycle of Early Childhood Education (3-6 years) or Primary Education (6-12 years), respectively.
The project will be carried out in the CEIP "Santiago" and CEIP "Tierno Galván" educational centers and the place of registration will be in the "La Cárcel" Sociocultural Center, whose deadline is when all the places are covered.
The participants will carry out activities of school reinforcement, outdoor and sports games, crafts, table games, various workshops, among others.
The activity of the School in non-academic period 2016 will be carried out in the following periods: non-school period in the festivities of Santa Eulalia (5, 7 and 9 December 2016, Monday through Friday from 9 to 14 hours) and period Christmas holidays (from 23, 27, 28, 29, 30 December 2016, 3,4 and 5 January 2017, from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.).
