The gastronomic festival of food vehicles "Food Trucks" will give the start signal to the patron saint festivities in honor of La Santa
The program of the celebrations was presented today by the mayor, Juan José Cánovas, and the councilman of the branch, Agustín Gonzalo Martínez, who gave an account of the different activities scheduled, which start this next weekend and will continue until the next 18 from December.
The program, which has been edited 4,000 copies, can be collected from this Thursday, November 24, in the Tourism Office of the City of Totana (Plaza Balsa Vieja) and the Center for Sociocultural "La Cárcel".
As a novelty, this year will be distributed 4,000 hand-held programs and also the same number of color magazines -which also include activities-, which have a zero cost for municipal coffers, since the publisher in charge of these works has reserved the Advertising management included in the publication.
The activities are also included in an attractive magazine, which also includes articles on cultural aspects and costumbristas Totana, as well as in a box of postcards with old and contemporary images of Santa Eulalia, hermitage and pilgrimages.
The pack that forms the hand program (box with postables) and the magazine can be collected in the Tourist Office of the City of Totana (Plaza Balsa Vieja) and in the "La Cárcel" Sociocultural Center.
The publication includes a series of articles and photographs on landscapes, customs, traditions and gastronomy, among other diverse topics, which is about the municipality of Totana.
The festival program counts this year with a budget of 15,326 euros (50% less than the end of the previous legislature) and for its elaboration has had the collaboration of numerous associations of the municipality.
The councilman has called the program "varied, austere and for all ages" and thanked the municipal technicians of Festivities and Tourism, the other councils involved, Civil Protection and associations involved their participation in the confection and development of the festivities .
They start this weekend
The Food Trucks Fair, which will be installed in the Plaza de la Balsa Vieja until Sunday 27, will be inaugurated at 7:00 pm on Friday, November 25th, and with this activity, the program of employer celebrations begins officially.
This weekend there are also other events, such as the presentation of the Notebooks of La Santa, tomorrow 26, at 18:00 hours in the Sanctuary of La Santa.
The music will also be protagonist this next weekend, with the VII Festival Folcklórico Infantil (day 26 at 20:00 hours) and the Festival of Choirs and Rondallas (day 27 at 19:00 hours), respectively.
The program of events of the patron saint celebrations of Santa Eulalia this year includes numerous activities of a playful, cultural and sporting character.
In the latter field, competitions or exhibitions of chess, rugby, skating, tennis, akido, swimming, zumba, taichi, pilates, hiking, petanca or orienteering have been scheduled.
In addition, there will be the popular Bicycle Day (December 4), the XXVIII Popular Day Race of the Constitution (December 6) or the Gala of Sports totanero, which will take place on December 5.
The day fair will once again concentrate the festive atmosphere in the Plaza de la Constitución, between December 2 and 8.
The smaller ones will enjoy activities scheduled for them, such as the musical theater show "El viaje de Pinocho", which will take place on December 10, and of course the fairground, which will be installed in the fairground and in Which should be noted that on December 2 will be the Day of the Ferdinand (during the afternoon and evening you can go up to the attractions with the 2x1 promotion), while the 5th of that month will be Children's Day (children and Adults will be able to climb to the attractions installed at a price of 1.5 euros the trip).
Another of the included activities are for example the Contest of paella and migas (3 of December).
The music and the shows will also have their place in these festivities, and among other activities we can mention the performances of "500 Band Night" with a tribute to Joaquín Sabina (December 3), the group Sirope (December 9), Night Of boleros (day 10) or the Magic Show "Toni Bright" (day 18).
