The 7th Festival Folklórico Choir and Dance Children "Ciudad de Totana" is celebrated this Saturday, November 26, at the "La Cárcel" Sociocultural Center of this town, starting at 20:00 hours, with free admission to All attendees.
The Councilor of Festivities, Agustín Gonzalo Martínez, and the representatives of the Choir and Dance group "Ciudad de Totana" that organizes this event, Rita Munuera and Rosario Tudela, presented this cultural and musical activity that takes place every year at the end of November .
The contest counts this year with the children's groups "Raíces huertanas.
Peña El Pimiento "from the borough of Nonduermas and the host" Coros y Danzas "Ciudad de Totana", and has the collaboration of the City of Totana.
As a novelty, this year the festival will feature a theatrical performance in which the theatrical genre will be combined with the folklore within the dances.
In addition, as in the last edition, a photography contest will be held during the festival, whose winning image will be the one chosen for the making of the poster announcing the festival next year 2017.

At present, the group of Choruses and Dances "Ciudad de Totana" has about 23 children who try every week the traditional dances and take the name of Totana to different places in the regional geography.
The "City of Totana" Choir and Dance Association teaches its weekly classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the San Francisco neighborhood, children from 5 years old and up to adults.
