The Councilor for Youth, Inmaculada Blázquez, has raised a motion to the September plenary session to sign a collaboration agreement with the Commonwealth of Channels of Taibilla (MCT) in order to implement the October 2008 plenary agreement in order to use the so-called "Casa del Guarda", located in the Siphon of Cordones, to promote its municipal use and coordinate with youth groups its dynamization as a space for leisure and free time.
The Department of Youth intends to request MCT to assign the use of this infrastructure, safeguarding ownership and priority of use by the public body.
At the same time, collaboration agreements would be developed with the youth groups of the municipality for the organization, coordination and implementation of projects that are agreed with the Town Hall.
The Plenum approved in October 2008 a motion of UI in this sense and this house has been uninhabited for decades, and since 2002 are being carried out negotiations with this public to get the assignment of use to the City by the strategic point in which Is found and its structural quality.
The infrastructure is located at a short distance from the town center, very close to the "Tira del Lienzo" deposit, the Sports City and almost in the limits of the natural park of Sierra Espuña, communicated by the road that jalona Totana and that serves the Canal el Taibilla, in the section Pliego-Cartagena.
These facilities could be restored and used as a dynamic element among Totana's youth in activities such as permanent exhibition hall;
Audio-visual room for film projections, documentaries and videoforum;
Rehearsal room for local music groups or spaces for small concerts;
Workshops of various kinds;
Youth camps;
Computer stations with Internet access;
Social place of collectives;
library;
Routes with bicycle loan;
Bicycle hospital;
Indoor or outdoor rocódron;
Ramp skateboard, among others.
