The Mayor of Totana, Juan José Cánovas, and the Councilor for New Technologies, Inmaculada Blázquez, have recently met with the Director General of Administrative Simplification and Digital Economy of the Ministry of Economic Development, Tourism and Employment, Francisco Abril, with the aim To work together in the progressive modernization of the equipment of new technologies in the City of Totana, and the implementation of e-administration.
E-Administration, also known as eGovernment, refers to the incorporation of information and communication technologies in public administrations.
The municipal government has the objective to advance in the update of municipal computer equipment, since the great majority of them are already obsolete;
And intends to apply for subsidy lines for computer equipment provided that the Autonomous Community opens them in 2017.
The implantation of this one refers in two aspects: from an intraorganizational point of view to transform the traditional offices, turning the processes in paper, in electronic processes, in order to create an office without papers and from a perspective of the external relations, to enable The electronic way as a new medium for the relationship with citizens and companies.
It is a tool with a high potential for improving productivity and simplifying the different day-to-day processes that occur in different organizations.
One of the objectives is the introduction of transparency through corporate media and responsibility to achieve a better e-Government within organizations, in this case, local entities.
In addition, the municipal authorities are planning to hold another working meeting with the Director General of Heritage and Information Technology of the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration, Miriam Pérez Albaladejo, in order to continue addressing this issue of upgrading equipment and implementation of the e -Administration.
This municipal management tool is being driven by the emergence of information and communication technologies, facilitating to the users-neighbors the interaction with their city council and to the workers flexibilizing and improving the conditions of work.
