A total of eleven students participating in this new course 2016/17 in the "Occupational Classroom" program that aims to encourage educational promotion and prevent early school leaving age;

The program is being developed in Totana under the agreement between the Service to Diversity of the Ministry of Education and Universities and the Department of Education of the City of Totana.

For this purpose, they conducted a series of workshops and complementary throughout the academic year activities.

Project classes are developed in municipal facilities Socio-Cultural Center "Jail" in 8:20 hours to 14:20 hours, Monday through Friday, with the modality that will impart Workshop Cooking and Baking .

The training of students will be taught by two teachers and a technical teacher at the Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities, also part of the team coordinating and monitoring the classroom, a teacher at the IES "Juan de la Cierva y Codorniu" and municipal technician.

This program is a measure of educational promotion aimed at prevention and control of truancy, offering young people an opportunity to continue their education.

This is to give students pre-job skills, especially facilitating their reintegration into the education system and its continuity in Initial Vocational Training Programs.

During the course, students will acquire basic culinary processes of production, supply and conservation materials and hygiene in handling, while continuing their education in basic instrumental areas such as language and mathematics.

Participating students in the program receive training from a team of professionals and a technician from the Department of Education to coordinate the program and will monitor these children.
