Medicine has only been a modern science for nearly a century, and we have made incredible progress.
Until now.
Life expectancy has increased by 1/4 of a year by year since then, and if we just follow this trend, the average of about 100 will arrive later this century.
Today, only four types of diseases that cause most deaths.
We can move in all products of the brand with the right technology.
Throughout history, most scientific advances have been preceded by the invention of new tools to help us see problems in new ways - such as the telescope, microscope and DNA sequencing.
It is not difficult to imagine the modern tools needed to accelerate progress today in four major disease areas.
So let's focus on bringing together scientists and engineers to build these new tools and technologies.

We ARE COMMITTING TO INVEST 3 WE billion over the next ten years in this initiative to help scientists to cure diseases.
Our first project is the creation of the BioHub.
We are investing $ 600 million in a new research center to bring scientists and engineers together from Stanford, UCSF, Berkeley, and the world-class engineering team we are building in the chan zuckerberg initiative to build some of the new tools that I have spoken.
Science is a long-term effort.
We intend to invest billions of dollars over decades.
But it will take years for these tools to be developed and more time to put into full use.
This is difficult and we have to be patient, but it is important.
This is the future we want for our daughter and children everywhere.
If there is a possibility that we can help cure all diseases in the lives of our children, then we will do our part.
Together, we have an opportunity to leave the world a better place for our children that we have found.
