The Municipal Centre for the Elderly of "Balsa Vieja" Square Totana offers a wide and varied program of social, educational and leisure for the course 2016/2017, which will begin from the first week of October activities.
Councilwoman Seniors, Antonia Camacho, accompanied by the directors of the Municipal Senior Center, Jerome Martinez (President) and Pepi Crespo (Secretary) presented the entire program of activities organized for the new season.
Enrollment in courses offered activities and services will be held from September 15 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11:00 to 13:00 hours, at the premises of the center itself.
The activities are "Introduction to Basic Computers, Internet and E-mail", which will be held on Mondays, from 16:30 to 18:30 hours, and Thursday from 10:30 to 12:30 hours (training room);
"Crafts and embroidery" which will be on Wednesdays, from 17:00 to 19:00 hours (media room) and "health gymnastics", Wednesday and Friday from 17:30 to 18:30 (hall acts).
In addition, it offers the "Aula literacy" Thursday from 17:00 to 18:30 hours (audiovisual room), "Memory Workshop" Monday, from 16:30 to 18:30 hours ( audiovisual room), "Ballroom dancing" on Tuesdays, from 20:00 to 21:00 hours (assembly hall) and "Travel and cultural excursions" (information and registration day, Monday through Friday, from 10: 00 to 12:00 hours in the boardroom).
Finally, activities "family Lottery and dance" will be on Sundays from 17:00 to 23:00 (auditorium).
Services for Partners
The Department of Elderly reports also services with partners and users in general of the Municipal Center Senior Totana: "Service Cafe", from Monday to Sunday, on the ground floor (summer: 08: 00 to 21:00 pm - winter: 08:00 to 20:00 hours);
and "Service Barber" (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 9:30 to 13:30 and 16:30 to 20:00), on the first floor.
It also has "Podiatry Service" (last Thursday of each month from 16:00 to 20:00 hours);
and "service dining and takeaway" (Monday to Saturday from 12:30 to 14:00 hours), on the second floor.
They also have the "library service and daily newspaper" (Monday to Saturday from 9:00 to 14:00 and 16:00 to 20:00), on the first floor;
and "Day Care Service" (Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 17:00), on the first floor.
School management encouraged the elderly to participate in the list of scheduled activities for the new course.
The Municipal Senior Center currently has approximately 2,300 members.
