Bartolomé Sánchez Muñoz and Juan Francisco García García participated this Sunday August 7 in the test of Subida al Veleta in Granada.
The race runs along the route asphalt highest in Europe.
Both riders got good marks: Bartolo stopped the clock in 5 hours 22 minutes 11 seconds and Juan Francisco crossed the finish line in 6 hours 20 minutes 40 seconds.
The Malaga Cristobal Ortigosa (CD Nerja) and Moroccan Zhor El Amrani (CA Maracena) have achieved victory in the thirty-second edition of the International Ascent Veleta Peak, one of the test toughest ultradistance the world that has beaten its record participation with more than 600 runners.
Ortigosa, athlete 28 years specializing in middle distance races and marathons, has used a time of 3:51:35 to travel the 50 kilometers from Granada summit of the Veleta, located above 3,000 meters above sea level in a test 2,600 meters positive.
