Totana City Council has formed the Committee for Occupational Safety and Health to regulate the rights of consultation and participation of employees of the local authority in relation to the issues affecting them in this matter.
Councilwoman Human Resources, Gertrudis Maria Ruiz, has maintained over the past year with the representatives of public employees in order to study its implementation, and the adoption of a regulation of operation.
The committee is composed of three delegates of prevention, which in turn are representatives of workers totanero Consistory and three representatives of the City.
The Comitéde Safety and Health is the joint participation and collegial body intended for regular and periodic consultation of the actions of the company in terms of risk prevention.
The new body will henceforth responsible for assessing what situation are programs risks and emergency plans and evacuation of the different work centers of the City Council in order to update it if necessary .
At the founding meeting issues such as requests for review of jobs, training requests and talks prevention and first aid, and review and update emergency plans they were discussed.

From the Department of Human Resources is to convene the Committee on Occupational Safety and Health dependent on this area on a regular basis and with the aim of fixing the periodic consultation of actions of the company in risk prevention, since, during the previous legislature it constituted but failed to function as such.
The powers of this committee is that of participating in the development, implementation and evaluation of plans and programs to prevent risk of Totana Town Council and promote initiatives on methods and procedures for effective risk prevention, proposing the company improved conditions or correcting existing deficiencies.
The entry into force of the Law 31/95, of 8 November, on Occupational Health and Safety was a new regulation on the prevention of such risks;
and this right is exercised by appointing safety representatives and their grouping into a Committee on Occupational Safety and Health.
