Totana 50 families will benefit from a regional grant of 27,717 euros to develop a support project to cover basic needs of vulnerable families.
Totana City Council will receive a direct grant for that amount from the Autonomous Community of Murcia, through the Department of Family and Equal Opportunities, intended to alleviate and improve the situation of social vulnerability of families with minors position.
Throughout the year is expected to increase this amount by 18,791.00 euros, reaching a total of 46,508.00 euros, which also will go to alleviate needs of families at risk and social exclusion.
The Local Government Board has already agreed last July that direct grant from the Autonomous Community to develop during 2016 a support project to cover basic needs of vulnerable families.
The project is aimed to cover basic needs for food, hygiene, clothing, etc.;
and facilitating access to other services such as health, education (school supplies and aids dining room), housing (rent, improving the living conditions of housing and supplies) and employment, as well as support and social work the families.
These grants are part of a regional decree for direct grants to municipalities and associations of social services in the Region of Murcia for the development of actions to meet basic needs of the family, to support work and family reconciliation and projects for intervention services and family support.
