The Governing Council authorized the signing of an agreement between the Ministry of Presidency and the City of Totana for intervention by the grouping of Civil Defence volunteers in tasks of logistical support in major emergencies, as reported by regional sources in a statement.
Under the agreement, the Association of Civil Protection Volunteers of the City Council will support, in case of great emergency, the municipality in which the municipality occurs in the supply of water and food to members of the emergency services involved.
The Ministry for this purpose, allocates a subsidy of 2,000 €.
The group of volunteers of Civil Protection of Totana, thus, is part of the Logistics Group envisaged in the Territorial Plan of Civil Protection of the Region of Murcia, along with those of Caravaca de la Cruz and Jumilla, with whose municipalities appropriate also sign agreements.
Thus, any grouping of Civil Protection of the Logistics Group can be reached in less than 30 minutes to the place where service is required.
